Palm Springs Desert Winds Symphonic Band

The Palm Springs Desert Winds Symphonic Band is our largest ensemble, boasting approximately 110 members. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Dean McDowell, we perform a diverse repertoire—ranging from classical and marches to film scores and contemporary compositions—at our annual Fall, Spring, and May Pops concerts, as well as community events throughout the Coachella Valley. Deeply rooted in the LGBTQIA+ community, we are an inclusive organization that welcomes musicians of all backgrounds and skill levels. Our rehearsals are designed to be challenging, exciting, and rewarding. [1]

When: Thursday evenings, 7:00 – 9:30 PM (September through early May)

Where: Temple Isaiah/Jewish Community Center, Palm Springs
