Desert Winds Freedom Band - Jazz Band

Rehearsals - Thursdays from 5:50 pm to 6:50 pm, September through May (the next rehearsal is on September 4, 2025) 

Location - Temple Isaiah in Palm Springs, CA 

The Jazz Band features 21 talented musicians who perform both classic big band hits and modern jazz and swing tunes. They showcase their music at our spring and fall band concerts and star in our annual Gala Concert/fundraiser in February. Local vocalists from the Coachella Valley are often highlighted during Jazz Band performances. 

Beyond these formal concerts, the Jazz Band frequently receives requests to perform at the Tour de Palm Springs and occasionally at private events. 

Each year, the Jazz Band hosts a Gala Concert and Fundraiser for the Desert Winds Freedom Band. This year's sold-out event, "The Great American Songbook," took place on February 9, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm at the Cascade Lounge of the Agua Caliente Casino.
