About Us

The Palm Springs Desert Winds is a non-profit community ensemble founded in 2001 by Gary Moline. Growing from 17 to 115 members, we are now celebrating our 25th Season. Our organization features a symphonic band, jazz band, pep band, marching band, pop band, and small ensembles performing throughout the Coachella Valley.

Community & Education

We do more than perform. We actively support music education and our local community by:

Providing scholarships to local high school graduates pursuing music education degrees.

Hosting annual workshops with guest composers for middle and high school bands.

Promoting inclusivity as a proud member of the Pride Bands Alliance.
