Please Support Our Music

Welcome to our donation page. Every note we play is made possible by supporters like you. Your generosity keeps our instruments tuned, our concerts vibrant, and our community connected. Below, you can choose to invest directly in our main ensemble operations, support the next generation of music educators, or fund groundbreaking new compositions.

Thank you for keeping local music alive and thriving!

The PSDW General Fund is our area of greatest need, serving as the heartbeat of our organization. Your contributions directly support our public performances, provide our musicians with rehearsal space, and ensure our instruments are properly maintained. While our dedicated members pay annual dues, these fees aren't enough to sustain our vision. By supporting this fund, you are helping us keep the music alive and thriving in our community.

At Palm Springs Desert Winds, we support local talent from the classroom to the concert hall. Our 13-year-old scholarship program has awarded $76,000 to Coachella Valley high school graduates pursuing music education, with many returning to teach locally.

We also bring professional mentorship directly to schools. Each year, our Artistic Director and a Guest Composer visit local middle and high school bands to lead hands-on workshops. Last year alone, we reached 10 bands, giving students the unique opportunity to play a composer's music under their guidance and learn about professional music careers. Your support keeps this vital mentorship thriving.

The Palm Springs Desert Winds is proud to be a member of the Pride Bands Alliance, committed to promoting LGBTQ+ visibility through the arts. We invite you to support our efforts to perform and commission new music from LGBTQ+ artists. Your gift directly funds the licensing, rehearsals, and performances of works that celebrate queer themes, ensuring our concerts remain a vibrant reflection of our diverse membership and audience
